Week Eight: Maintaining Your Practice

Mindful Affirmations & Chanting

The power of writing or repeating simple positive statements (affirmations) about yourself cannot be overstated. When quieting the mind feels out of reach, and negative or anxious self-talk runs amuck between your ears, replace those words with motivating I/My statements to re-focus your mental and physical energy. Similarly, chanting particular syllables and sounds has helped people for thousands of years, as the resonance created loosens stuck energy and allows it to flow more freely. (This feels good! Try it, and watch your stress dissolve.)
