Kids Self Defense

Self-defense classes specifically designed for kids with instructor Gloriela and Dave Woods.  Every Sunday 3:10-4:05pm for 6 weeks. 

Join us for an empowering and fun Kids Self-Defense Class! In these interactive sessions, children will learn essential self-defense techniques, build confidence, and develop awareness skills. Our experienced instructor(s) will create a supportive environment where kids can learn and have a great time. This class is suitable for kids aged 16 and under. No prior self-defense experience is required. 

One of the biggest concerns expressed by parents is bullying in schools. As a former school teacher, Dave knows that teachers and other school staff do their best to manage this but have a difficult time doing so due to liability concerns and other difficulties. The greatest solution would be to teach every child to respect others. This doesn't happen consistently though, so sometimes good kids are stuck in difficult situations. David and Gloriela Woods have been working with kids of all ages for over 20 years, teaching not only combat strategies for self-defense, but also discipline, respect, and honor. These life skills are all invaluable. Our goal with this 6 week course is to give kids a solid basic strategy for effectively dealing with physical violence, using modern proven techniques from various martial arts. Additionally, traditional martial arts values are taught with the goal of giving kids the confidence and skills they need to deal with life in addition to healthy habits including proper diet and exercise.
