Parent & Me Preschool: Movement and Senses

What to expect: A guided 60 minute, hands-on experience for parent and child to participate in together. A fun, and interactive program with an emphasis on mindful connection between parent and preschooler. Themed activities that encourage bonding and connection that includes: language development & communication, songs & movement, arts and open-ended creativity, and sensory play and exploration. All while nurturing bonds, facilitating preschool readiness, and encouraging social skills.

A program that brings moms, dads, caregivers and their child together to learn, play, and connect through guided support lead by a passionate and playful early childhood educator.

Who is this program for: Open to parent/caregiver and ONE child ages 3-5 years old.

When: 6 week sessions that meet once a week: Wednesdays, 9:30-10:30

What the 60 minute session will look like:

-Welcome Connection Circle, with intro to guided activity

-Themed body with hands on activity or project

-Closing Circle

1st Session: September 20, 27 & October 4, 11, 18, 25

Theme: Movement & Senses

Creative movement using music, song, and dance, encourages the development of physical skills, channeling energy in a healthy way, nurturing creativity, while introducing preschool readiness skills.

Week 1: Sharing Games, Puppets & Imagination

Week 2: Working together, Obstacle Course & Calming Yoga

Week 3: Gross Motor Sensory Play to encourage early reading and math skills

Week 4: Dance Party to nurture and encourage listening skills

Week 5: Creating Art through Expression & Movement

Week 6: Costumes & Halloween
