About The Event
A BioBlitz is an exciting scientific event where a group of people come together to explore and document the biodiversity of a specific area in a short period of time. During a BioBlitz, participants work with scientists and experts to identify and record various plants, animals, insects, and other living organisms they encounter. It's a hands-on opportunity to learn about the natural world, contribute to scientific research, and develop a deeper appreciation for the incredible diversity of life that surrounds us. This BioBlitz will be led by 2023 National Geographic Explorer, Dr. Brittney Beck.
The Citizen Scientist Project is designed to include more diverse voices in question-posing, data collection, data analysis, and data-informed advocacy through building capacity for global citizen science in K-12 and higher education.
All you need to bring is a hat and sunscreen, and we'll take care of the rest.
